Privacy Policy
Effective June 27, 2026
Wanderprint (“the app”, “we”) is built to be private by design. Your travel data lives on your device, not on our servers. This policy explains what that means in practice.
The short version
- No account and no sign-up.
- We don’t run servers that store your data, and we don’t collect personal information.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and we never sell your data.
- Your countries, trips, memories and photos stay on your device.
Information we collect
Wanderprint does not collect personal information about you. There is no user account, and we do not operate a backend that receives or stores your content.
Data stored on your device
The following is created and kept locally on your device by the app:
- Countries and their statuses (visited, lived in, planned, wish to visit, went through).
- Trips, including days, stops and waypoints.
- Memories, including dates, transport, notes, and any photos you add.
- App settings (appearance, preferences).
Deleting the app removes this data from your device. If you want to keep it, create a backup (see below) before deleting.
Network requests to third parties
The core experience — your map, statuses, trips and memories — works fully offline. Some optional features send a request directly from your device to third-party services. These requests contain only what the feature needs (such as the text you type) and do not include your name, an account, or your location:
- Place search (when adding a stop to a trip): the place name you type is sent to an OpenStreetMap-based geocoding service to return matching places.
- Explore places (points of interest for a country): a request is sent to Wikidata to list highlights such as World Heritage sites, cities, mountains, airports and ports.
- Map labels: country-name fonts are loaded from a public font service.
We don’t control these third parties and they may process the request under their own policies. We don’t send them anything that identifies you.
Location
Wanderprint does not collect, store, or share your location, and it is not used to track you.
Photos
Photos you attach to a memory are stored locally within the app. They are never uploaded by us. Photos are included only in a backup file that you create and control.
Backups
The Backup feature creates a single file containing your data and photos. You choose where it goes (for example the Files app, iCloud Drive, or AirDrop). Once exported, that file is under your control — treat it like any other personal file. Restoring a backup replaces the data currently in the app with the contents of the backup.
Data sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data. There is no advertising in the app.
Children’s privacy
Wanderprint is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can reset statuses, delete trips and memories individually, or remove the app to erase all local data. You manage your own backups.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
